True. This is a type of strength training exercise with which the joint angle and muscle length do not change during the contraction of the muscles. These exercises are done in static positions where muscles work against an immovable object. The amount of pressure applied to the particular weight is the same amount throughout the whole contraction. An example of this is holding in place a bench press where a further push can no longer be applied once the arms are already fully extended.
