If [tex] \frac{5}{8} [/tex] is red, than the remaining [tex] \frac{3}{8} [/tex] would be blue. [tex] \frac{5}{8} [/tex] + [tex] \frac{3}{8} [/tex] would give you [tex] \frac{8}{8} [/tex].
