Why is lady macbeth unable to kill duncan?

Duncan was killed when he was at Macbeth's after the Scottish war. That was when she plotted the plan to have her husband kill king Duncan.

She claims that Duncan looked like her father as he slept. Macbeth also hesitates to kill Duncan because he has a change of mind.
