Mercury has very little atmosphere.
The planet Mercury has an insubstantial (very thin) and highly irregular atmosphere (known as exosphere) which originates from the solar wind or from the planet’s surface. Mercury is not capable of holding on to an atmosphere because of its low surface gravity. Mercury’s atmosphere is composed of gases such as hydrogen, helium, oxygen with calcium, sodium and water vapor.
