 2/5 x 1/3 = 2/15 square inches

To find the area we do length times width. The easy thing with fractions is that you can just multiply across.

So 2/5 times 1/3.

2 x 1 = 2
5 x 3 =15

2/5 x 1/3 = 2/15.

Your answer is 2/15
