The shape shown is an example of a composite figure. This means that it is a large figure made up of smaller figures. To help find the volume of the larger figure, we can find the volume of each smaller figure, and then add the volumes together.
The volume of a cylinder is:
V = [tex] \pi r^2h[/tex]
The volume of a cone is:
V = [tex] \frac{ \pi r^2h}{3} [/tex]
After we find the volume of each, we simply add them together!
