Akbar adopted programs that obtained the loyalty of non-Muslims in his domain. Akbar centralized his financial system, reorganized tax collections and reformed the central administration. Akbar had a strong interest in religions other than Islam, which helped to persuade non-Muslims to engage with him and follow his leadership.
