The answer to this question would be: NREM sleep

There are few phases of sleep. In NREM(non rapid eye movement) phase, the body muscle is not paralyzed so the movement is still possible. When someone enters the sleep phase not properly, they might be stuck in the NREM phase. Their mind is still working but the muscle is not paralyzed so they are capable to move unconsciously
