Riders of bicycles and mopeds on the roadway have the same rights and responsibilities as drivers of motor vehicles and other road users. Essentially, being on a non-motorized, or partially motorized, vehicle does not exempt you from the rules of the road such as staying in your lane (or portion of the lane) and signaling before turning.
