if x is the first even integer, the 5 consecutive even integers are
x, x+2, x+4, x+6, x +8

x+(x+8) = 3(x+6)-2
2x+8 = 3x+18-2
2x+8 = 3x+16
-x = 8
x = -8
hence the no.s are -8, -6, -4, -2, 0
