25% is equal to [tex] \frac{1}{4}[/tex]. To get 25% of 300, we multiply 300 by either 0.25 or [tex] \frac{1}{4}[/tex]. This gives us [tex](300)( \frac{1}{4}) = \frac{300}{4} = \frac{150}{2} = 75[/tex]
