This is an arithmetic progression with d=2 as common difference:
(7-5 =2; 9-7 =2; 11-9 =2, etc.) and with 1st term a₁ =5
a₈ = a₁ + (n-1)d (where n is the number/rank of terms
a₈ = 5 + 7x2
a₈ = 19
