For the x-coordinate, (8-2) = 6
divided by 2 = 3
then add this to the smaller x point
3 + 2 = 5

For the y-coordinate, (11 -1) = 10
divided by 2 = 5
adding this to the smaller y point
5 + 1 = 6

So, the mid-point = (5, 6)
