The office manager attacks Gregor's integrity and even goes so far as to accuse him of stealing. His employers are heartless. They have no feelings for their employees, and it seems that the manager's intent is to get rid of Gregor from the get go. He isn't being a productive asset for the company, thus, he should leave the company...... anyway they can get him to go.
