When clouds droplets combine to form heavier cloud drops which can no longer "float", it start to rain, and any form of precipitation, some of the water that falls from the clouds can evaporate because of specific climate and water cycle factors, but it process occurs in the later stages of the water cycle. Therefore, it is true tha some of the precipitation can evaporates if we consider the whole water cycle.
