Step-by-step explanation:

[tex] = (7z + 1) + ( - 4z - 5)[/tex]

[tex] = 7z + 1 - 4z - 5[/tex]

[tex] = 7z - 4z + 1 - 5[/tex]

= 3z - 4

hence 3z - 4 is the answer...
