Answer:

It depends on the individual because some individuals cannot afford to go far and hence choose to live near to their destination. For example, if you didn't have a car and needed to commute 1-3 hours away, you'd just move closer to your job because it was a faster and less stressful way to get there. On the other side, there are folks who can afford transportation and don't mind driving or flying to their destinations. They don't appreciate having to get up for an hour or two merely to go somewhere.
