First we convert 3 5/6 to 21/6 by multiplying 3 to 6 and then adding 5 to it.

➡️ 3*6+5/6 = 21/6

Then to make it easier to add you convert 1/3 to 2/6 which is equal to 1/3.

➡️ 21/6 + 2/6 = 23/6
