A state test is for the state of Florida to see what you know from your current grade overall in Math. In my case, I live in Ohio, so this is what our standards are. This also applies to many states similarly, so Yes you will advance to 7th depending on how much you learned. It basically also determines what type of math you need to do for the next grade.
