3x+8x+26=180
The line is equal to 180 so u set the line to 180 and then solve for x
3x+8x+26=180
Combine like terms and subtract 26 on each side
11x=154
Divide by 11
X=14

And for y
Set it equal to 14
So it would be 180= 5y+38+42 (same as before, the line is equal to 180)
Or 138=5y+38 (Bc the ones across from each other are equal to each other)

180=5y+38+42
Combine like terms
180=5y+80
Subtract 80 on both sides
100=5y
Divide by 5
Y=20
Or
138=5y+38
Subtract 38 on each side
100=5y
Divide by 5
20=y
