3(-4x - 9) - 4 = 8x - 9(x + 12)
-12x - 27 - 4 = 8x - 9x - 108
-12 x - 31 = -x - 108
Add 31 on both side
-12x - 31 + 31 = - x - 108 + 31
-12x = -x - 77
- x from both said
-12x + x = -x -77 + x
-11x = -77
Divide both side of the equation by the same factor
-11x/-11 = -77/-11
X= 7
