[tex] 9\frac{2}{3} 14\frac{1}{3} = \frac{29}{3} - 14 \frac{1}{3} = \frac{29}{3} - \frac{43}{3} = \frac{-14}{3} = -4 \frac{2}{3} [/tex]
As a decimal > -4.6
Note for the end fractions. 14 * 3 + 1 = [tex] \frac{43}{3} [/tex]
9 * 3 + 2 = [tex] \frac{29}{3} [/tex]

Hi , 9 2/3 it's now 27/3 and 14 1/3 (43/3) , because we just multiply the denominator and the number that is out , then we add the numerator and the previous answer , so now our new problem is 27/3 - 43/3 which equals to 16/3.
