The berlin Blockade was one of the first crisis of the Cold War. Post World war 2, Germany (the soviet union) blocked the Western Allies railway and canal access to the sectors of Berlin under Western Control. The soviets offered to drop blockade of the Western Allies withdrew Deutsche Mark from west Berlin.
