1. Distribute 2 within the letter or numbers in the bracket
So it will be 2x + 8= 10
If u are wondering how I got 8, I got it by multiplying 2 and 4
2. Know we have 2x+8=10, we subtract 8 on both sides as it’s the opposite of +8 so we get 2x+8=10
-8 -8
It cancels out the +8 &-8
Then we get 2x=2
Then u divide it by 2 with both sides
Answer x= 1
