Perimeter of rectangle =2( length + width)

therefore,

43.6 = 2 ( x + 2x - 7)

43.6/2 = 2 ( 3x - 7)

21.8 + 14 = 6x

6x = 35.8

x = 35.8/6

x = 5.97 inches

Length = 5.97 inches

width = 2*5.97-7 =11.94 - 7 = 4. 94 inches

Area of rectangle

= Length * width
