Reflection over the y-axis is like a mirror image across the vertical axis. It is equidistant from the y axis on the other side and the x coordinate stays the same.
A flip on the y axis means a flip horizontally. If you look at point A which is (-4, -2) and make the x part of the ordered pair opposite, it becomes (4, -2).
