Solve the inequality.

4x − 8 > 2x − 6

I hate these questions. I know how to do them, I just don't want to do them.

To combine like terms do this:

move -8 to the right side of the sign (becomes +8)

move 2x to the left side of the sign (becomes -2x)

4x-2x > -6+8

do the math

2x > 2

divide 2 by both sides

x > 1
