Standard form: -1/4x+3=0


Factorization: -1/4(x-12)=0


Solution: x=12

x = 12

multiply through by 4 to eliminate the fraction

3x = 4x - 12 ( subtract 3x from both sides )

0 = x - 12 ( add 12 to both sides )

12 = x
