Adele’s lawn has an area of x^2-5x-6 square feet and a length of x+1 feet. What is the width of the lawn in feet

  • solution-      Area of lawn=(Length of lawn)×(width of lawn)
  •               Here, Area= (X^2-5X-6) feet² and Length=(X+1)feet
  •              therefore, width= (Area of the lawn)÷(Length of lawn)
  •                                         =(X^2-5x-6)÷(X+1)
  •                                         =(X-6)feet
  • therefore, width of the lawn is (X-6) feet.  Answer
