Amelia just received a $9000 bonus. she has been advised to inverst her bonus into two accounts, on Yielding 3% per annum and the other 8% per annum. if Amelia wants to earn $580 in interest, how much should she put in each account?

0.03(9000-x) + 0.08x. = 580

270-0.03x+0.08x = 580

0.05x = 310

x = 6200

$6200 in the 8% and $2800 in the 3%.
